Welcome to the Ministry Resource Center

Mission Statement: The Ministry Resource and Publicity Center serves all those in the Archdiocese involved in ministry by making resources available and by publicizing events sponsored by the Archdiocesan Pastoral Ministries Offices. The Staff: * Administers the holding of books, DVDs, videos, audio tapes, some CDs, periodicals, journals, over 12,000 items * Collaborates with other Pastoral Ministries Offices in choosing and acquiring additional resources * Promotes and facilitates the use of the Resource Center by parish lay ministers, teachers, clergy and other interested persons * Provides consultation for the use of A/V and other materials in ministerial settings * Prepares a monthly newsletter, the PMD Express, for the Pastoral Ministries Offices to feature events and services offered by the Offices. Policies for Use of Resources * Any Catholic parishioner of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe may borrow the resources housed at the MRC. There are no fees except for lost or damaged items. * Materials can be mailed to patrons outside of Albuquerque. The MRC will pay outgoing postage for materials we mail out of town. Patrons are responsible for the return of materials. * Books and audiotapes may be borrowed for four weeks (or longer by arrangement) * DVDs and videotapes may be borrowed for two weeks (or longer by arrangement). It may be helpful to call or write ahead and reserve materials that are needed for programs on particular dates. * DVDs and videotapes may be previewed at the Center. Center staff can make recommendations of materials for certain programs, and for other informational needs. * Care and consideration of materials, and returning them on time are of greatest importance to insure that materials are available to everyone served by the Center. Users are responsible for paying for items that are lost or damaged.

What is NEW at the MRC?

DVD materials are increasing as we are purchasing all new programs in DVD format. We have some wonderful DVD programs on poverty and social justice from the San Damiano Foundation - films by Gerard Thomas Straub. Other programs by Fr. Ron Rolheiser and several great courses from the Teaching Company are well worth the time to watch. We also have some new DVDs for children and teens.
